Dell Transfer of Ownership

Due to Dell's purchasing restrictions and rights of ownership upon receipt, all Dell laptops purchased for resale by Penn State's Computer Store are currently being registered to Penn State's Computer Store.

If you purchase a Dell laptop from Penn State's Computer Store customers must complete a Transfer of Ownership/Warranty to themselves by using the following instructions. (Note: You will need to have the following information handy: Service Tag Number: This is a 7 digit alphanumeric number shown on both your invoice and the side of your CPU’s box under the words “Track Code”.)

1) Visit the Dell Transfer of Ownership page.
2) Under “Current Owner” the following information is required:
      First: Paige
      Last: Fyock

or

First: Tim
Last: Weston

3) Under “New Owner Information” enter your name and the address where the computer will be located.

After completing this online form, full ownership and warranty of the unit will be transferred to the purchaser.
