with Dell to provide the Penn
State community with Dell™ Warranty
Parts Direct Program (WPD)
Tier 2 enrollments at a reduced
cost. Dell WPD is a service
and support plan designed
specifically to provide staff
with the knowledge, and services
necessary to efficiently support
Dell systems within their
own department.
Annual
enrollments arranged through
the Computer Store cost only
$130 each – a
savings of $49 per annual
enrollment compared with Dells
price of $179 each.

How
Do I get started?
Simply
place an order on the Web
for part number STENRL001
and include the following
information in the text field:
- First
and last name of person
to enroll in the program
- Email
of person to enroll in the
program
- Budget
number to be used for reimbursement
Once
your order has been processed,
Dell will send a confirming
enrollment email which provides
your Tech ID number along
with instructions about how
to take the online test(s)
to complete enrollment in
the program.
What
if I'm already enrolled
in the Tier 1 program?
Dell
has agreed to convert Tier
1 enrollments to Tier 2 on
a per request basis. If you
currently have a Tier 1 enrollment
and would like to convert
to a Tier 2, simply send an
email, stating that you would
like to change to Tier 2,
to DellWPD@computerstore.psu.edu and
the Computer Store will coordinate
the changeover with Dell.
Please be sure to include
the Tech ID number(s) that
you would like to convert.
There is no charge for this
conversion and you can begin
to receive WPD reimbursements
with your next qualified warranty
claim.
How
do I renew an existing enrollment?
You
can renew an existing Tier
2 enrollment through the Computer
Store at the cost of $130
each. Place an order on the
Web for part number STENRL001
and include your WPD ID# and
budget number for reimbursement
in the note field.
How
will I receive my reimbursement?
In
order to receive Tier 2 reimbursement,
all reimbursement guidelines
specified by Dell must be
followed. The full list of
guidelines is available on
the Dell WPD site - log into
the account, click on the
Labor Reimbursement link then
click on Labor Reimbursement
Guidelines.
All
claims submitted within a
month are generated in a monthly
report. The monthly report
and check will be mailed to
the Remittance Contact (Computer
Store) separately within 60-90
days following the end of
the month in which the claim
was submitted. The Computer
Store will then distribute
the reimbursements via IBIS
transaction using the budget
information provided when
the account is set up.
