Computer Store Cares about Trash to Treasure

Employees of Penn State's Computer Store, along with other ITS employees, take time to volunteer for Trash to Treasure.

The volunteer team consists of:

The team tests the donated electronic equipment to make sure it is functional and places a fair price on the equipment so it sells. These electronics includeDisplays, TV's, iPods, Printers, Computers, Laptops, Phones, Portable CD players, cables, and more.

The money raised at Trash to Treasure benefits The Centre County United Way.

Each year, Trash to Treasure averages 190 tons in move-out waste stream the largest two-day waste stream produced at Penn State's University Park campus.

Trash to Treasure recycles 42% of the move-out waste stream annually.
